We’re looking for a kind-hearted, capable Chef / Cook to join our friendly kitchen team at The Limes – a family-run, award-winning care home in the heart of Bembridge. This full-time role is perfect for someone who takes pride in home-style cooking and wants to be part of a team that feels more like family.

Although the role is full-time, we would be happy to consider a job share for the right candidates.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, heart-led role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll help prepare and serve tasty, nourishing meals that keep our residents happy, healthy, and looking forward to every mealtime.

Your day-to-day might include:

- Preparing home-cooked meals that meet a variety of dietary needs and preferences
- Supporting the Head Chef with menu planning, kitchen routines, and presentation
- Getting involved in celebrations, themed events, and resident birthdays
- Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and up to high hygiene standards
- Taking pride in presentation and creating a dining experience that feels special

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in cooking for groups – care home or hospitality experience is a plus
- Passionate about food and how it brings people together
- Familiar with dietary requirements, food hygiene, and textured diets (or willing to learn)
- A real team player – calm, kind, and happy to roll up your sleeves
- Positive, reliable, and ready to make someone’s day with your cooking
