Job Description:
I am seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor to join my renowned aviation industry client based in Hayes, West London.
As the Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor, you will work within the Quality Team to develop and support primarily the Health & Safety function of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) for the company.
Role Details
- Location: Hayes, Middlesex
- Shift: Mon-Fri, 08:00 - 17:00 - 40 hours per week
- Salary: Up to £43,075.46
Responsibilities:
- Ensure company remains EHS compliant through interaction with departmental managers.
- Oversee Risk Assessments and Control of Substances Harmful to Health (COSHH) Assessments.
- Handle accident reporting and investigations, including KPI reporting to Product Division.
- Conduct audits to ISO14001 and 45001 standards to maintain approval.
- Create EHS policies aligned with UK law and company requirements.
- Implement health & safety targets and ensure compliance.
- Develop and lead a Safety Team across functions.
- Assess new substances and manage REACH compliance.
- Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
- Advise on EHS training and collaborate on training development.
- Maintain a control plan for EHS testing requirements.
- Support Human Resources on occupational health issues.
- Conduct regular meetings with first aiders and serve as their support contact.
- Assist the Quality Team with procedural updates.
- Deputise for the Security Manager when needed.
- Perform tasks within capabilities to meet company needs.
Requirements & Education
- Preferably have an EHS background with aviation knowledge.
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Certification preferred.
- Recognised auditing qualification, especially in ISO 14001 or 45001.
- Strong administration and coordination skills.
- Experience with Risk Assessments, Audits, and MSDS review.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and develop collaborative relationships.
- Ability to produce accurate reports promptly.
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK at application time.
