Many of our young people have gaps in their education. You will need a creative approach to teaching to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all our young people to access learning and make expected progress.
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor with experience working with SEN young people. The role involves supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring engagement in learning activities and appropriate behavior. We strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce educational disadvantage, enabling all our young people to access learning. You should be passionate about supporting the needs of the whole child and committed to enabling all young people to thrive. Candidates should have at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, along with a minimum of GCSE grades 4-9 in English and Maths, or equivalent.
James Brindley is a stand-alone Academy located across various sites in the City of Birmingham. During a school year, we educate over 3,000 young people, from a few days in hospital to several years in our teaching centres. Many have complex medical needs or have been out of education for a significant period prior to joining us.
We offer a full-time curriculum to young people from EYFS to KS5, aiming to help them 'close the gap' and exceed expected progress during their time with us.
