A day in the life of a Murphy Plant Logistics Planner
- Assess and allocate work requests from stakeholders using transport management software, ensuring efficient distribution.
- Plan and organize work requests to ensure safety, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain and optimize fleet schedules to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor driver activities during shifts to ensure smooth operations and address issues promptly.
- Resolve customer and driver queries related to work requests.
- Prepare, maintain, and update transport data and management information in accordance with company software requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and foster positive relationships.
- Manage filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.
- Handle financial duties such as processing invoices and tracking costs for budget control.
- Collaborate with SHES department to promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System standards and report incidents promptly.
- Uphold quality standards in line with the company's Quality System.

- Experience in HGV transport planning, including abnormal loads.
- Knowledge of construction plant and equipment within the construction industry.
- Experience with asset management, route planning, and driver tachograph software is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and fleet telematics.
