A national transport agency in Scotland seeks a motivated individual to join their Concessionary Travel Unit. The role emphasizes data analysis and external collaboration with stakeholders such as the Police and Local Authorities, ensuring secure management of data. You will monitor reports, provide support in system updates, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making. With flexible working arrangements, this position requires office attendance twice a week.
The post is based in Transport Scotland’s Concessionary Travel Unit (CTU) within the Bus, Concessionary and Active Travel (BCAT) Directorate. CTU was established to undertake and oversee the operation and payments of the concessionary travel schemes and various operator grants and incentives.
Success profiles are specific to each job and they include the mix of skills, experience and behaviours candidates will be assessed on.
Solid foundations in Operational Delivery support transition into this role, awareness of attention to detail, effective communication, and prioritisation of a varied workload typically seen in Operational Delivery will complement this role as well as confidence in numerical data handling and analysis.

Our standard hours are 35 hours per week. We offer a range of flexible and hybrid working options depending on the needs of the role. You will require to be office based twice per week.
Successful candidates must complete the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before they can be appointed.
