We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bexley to assist with the appointment of a Procurement Assistant, on a 12-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., The Procurement Assistant role involves processing tender exercises using the Councils electronic tendering system, preparing procurement documentation and providing administrative support within a busy and fast-paced local government environment.,

  • Assist the Senior Procurement Officer with the progression, processing and recording of tenders and quotations
  • Support advertising and tendering processes using the Councils electronic tendering facility
  • Prepare procurement documentation, correspondence and reports
  • Maintain and update the Councils in-house tendering system and Approved List of Contractors
  • Communicate with suppliers, contractors and service providers regarding tender opportunities
  • Respond to enquiries from internal clients and external contractors and resolve issues where possible
    Good standard of education, Proven experience working in an office or administrative environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage changing workloads effectively
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
