A local government authority in Thatcham is seeking a Democratic Services Officer for a part-time, fixed-term maternity cover role. This position involves supporting elected Councillors and senior officers with duties such as arranging meetings and servicing Education Admission Appeals. The ideal candidate will be educated to A level standard, have excellent communication skills, and possess strong self-management and organisational abilities. The role offers a salary of £28,193 - £32,104 pro rata, along with 32 days annual leave and a flexible working pattern.

This is a part-time, fixed-term maternity cover role for up to 12 months, with hybrid working, and a salary of £28,193 - £32,104 per annum (£22,554 - £25,683 pro rata).

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Democratic Services Officer to join our team.
You will be supporting the Democratic Services function of the council in order to deliver high quality, resident focused and efficient services.
This will involve working closely with the other Democratic Services Officers and providing support to both the Governance & Democratic Services Manager and Principal Democratic Services & Scrutiny Officer, when required.
