A local authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Community Safety, ASB and Enforcement Manager to lead a team in delivering effective community safety services. The role involves managing ASB and Enforcement Officers, developing strategies to combat anti-social behavior, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of ASB laws, proven leadership in a community safety context, and excellent communication skills. You will manage a team of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) & Enforcement Officers delivering high-quality enforcement and community safety services. Working closely with partners such as the Police, housing providers, and other agencies, you will lead proactive operations, develop strategies to reduce ASB, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. This role is pivotal in improving the public environment for our residents across the borough and supporting the priorities of the Community Safety Partnership.
The role includes but is not limited to:
You must have a strong knowledge of ASB legislation, enforcement policies, and local government frameworks, with a proven ability to lead multi‑agency operations and deliver measurable results.
You will have excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with experience in policy development, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
Significant experience in managing teams in an ASB, Enforcement, or Community Safety setting would be advantageous.
Professional qualifications in Community Safety or law enforcement (e.g. BTEC Level 5 in Community Safety Management) are desirable.
At Enhanced level is required for this post.
