Job summary
A leading translation company in the UK is looking for a German speaking Graduate Translation Proofreader to join their international team. The role involves checking translations for accuracy and adapting documents to ensure conformity with new versions. Candidates should be fluent in English and German, with a degree in a language discipline. Experience with TRADOS is advantageous but not essential. The position offers a salary of £22,500 plus benefits, including private healthcare and a pension scheme.

Our client is an international and very successful translation company.
To join the international translation department, they wish to recruit a German and English speaking Translator Proofreader. The language combinations required is English to mother tongue standard + fluent German.
- Word-by-word checking of translations prepared by technical staff
- Adapting existing translations to conform to new versions of documents
- General office work relating to the finishing and dispatch of translations
- English to mother tongue standard + fluent German. Fluency in an additional language, such as as French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian or Italian is an advantage but not essential
- Educated to degree/university level in a language discipline
- Have an ability to work quickly and proof read
- Experience of TRADOS is an advantage but not essential
