Job summary
A leading accountancy recruitment firm is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join a regional firm in Nottingham. The successful candidate will prepare statutory accounts, maintain bookkeeping, and manage VAT returns. This role offers hybrid and flexible working, 30 days of annual leave, and a focus on employee welfare. The ideal applicant will have AAT qualification and experience in accountancy practices, along with familiarity with cloud-based bookkeeping software.

- Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, and partnerships, limited companies
- Preparation of book keeping and VAT returns
- Prioritising workload effectively to meet deadlines
- Experience working within an accountancy practice and the preparation of financial statements
- Qualified to an AAT standard or equivalent
- Experience working with cloud based book keeping software
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, Digita and Excel software is desirable
