A successful consultancy in the niche technology sector is seeking a part-time administrator/bookkeeper. The successful candidate will manage office administration, bookkeeping, and calendar duties while being tech-savvy and familiar with online tools, particularly Xero. This flexible role allows for working hours from 10am to 2pm, ideal for candidates seeking balance. With room for career progression, applicants should be comfortable liaising with clients both in the UK and internationally.
We're a small, highly successful consultancy in a niche technology field. Our clients are international and include some of the biggest tech companies in the world.
We're looking for a part-time administrator/bookkeeper who is familiar with the Xero accounts package and working with Google Docs etc. The role involves office administration, bookkeeping, general calendar management, filing, and assisting with administrative tasks, like handling expenses and arranging travel. Familiarity with HR processes would be helpful but not essential, but we are looking for someone who is very comfortable working with online tools and in a completely online environment, and is tech savvy. A good understanding of spreadsheets is essential.
As the company grows, we expect the role to expand into more client management and there is ample scope for career progression as you take on more responsibility.
We're a virtual company: the CEO works from home near Bicester, and other staff are based in Oxfordshire and London. We meet together as a team regularly in Oxford or Bicester, and occasionally in London, so the successful candidate will be likely be based either in or near Oxford or Bicester.
The role is extremely flexible, and would suit someone who wants to work from say 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday, and we can be flexible about school holidays.
We currently have a total of 5 staff and consultants, and the CEO also has a role as a consultant lawyer at a major London law firm, whose lawyers work alongside our own consultants so the role would involve liaising with the team there, and making use of their systems. Experience in a legal environment would be helpful, but not essential.
We have clients in the UK, US, Europe and China.
The salary is £35,000 to £40,000 FTE, dependent on skills and experience with an expectation of approximately half-time working, but this is flexible. Benefits include 14 days' paid holiday (based on half-time working), contributory pension scheme and mobile phone.
