Senior Accountant / Auditor – Northern Ireland
Overview:
Cpl NI is partnering with a leader in the professional services sector to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant/Auditor. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote working and on-site reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct reviews to assess firms’ compliance with regulatory frameworks and professional standards
·Evaluate firms’ processes and methodologies across a range of practising activities
·Critically assess audit and accounting work, focusing on key technical issues
·Provide actionable recommendations to enhance procedures, compliance, and overall quality
·Engage in a broad range of challenging assignments offering unique insights into company performance and regulatory responses
Essential Criteria:
·Fully qualified member of a Recognised Accountancy Body, with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a practice or regulatory environment
·Strong technical knowledge of professional, technical, and ethical standards
·Proven organisational and communication skills, including the ability to influence and engage clients.
·Analytical mindset with a process-driven approach
·Proficient in IT systems relevant to accounting and auditing
·Full clean driver’s licence
