Job summary

A global business consultancy is urgently seeking an Interim Senior Accountant for a 3-month hybrid role in London. The successful candidate will manage month-end processes, statutory audits, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with GAAP. Applicants must be fully qualified accountants with experience in complex organizations and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA. Excellent communication skills and immediate availability are essential for this role, offering competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple regions.

  • Preparation of month-end journals, schedules, and variance analysis.
  • Support the group with statutory audits and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and prepare reconciliations at group level.
  • Review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Provide guidance on fixed assets, AP, and AR processes.

Skills

Interim Senior Accountant – Immediate start
London (Hybrid) – 3 months
£400 – £500 p/day (Umbrella)

We have partnered with a global business seeking the interim support of a Senior Accountant. This role will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure a smooth month‑end close and provide critical support across group finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of month‑end journals, schedules, and variance analysis.
  • Support the group with statutory audits and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and prepare reconciliations at group level.
  • Review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) and monitor banking activity.
  • Provide guidance to local accountants on fixed assets, AP, and AR processes.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a global or complex organisation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and statutory reporting.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple regions.
