Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Nottinghamshire seeks an NPI & Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement of electronic products. In this role, you will drive product lifecycles from pilot to production, collaborate with engineering teams, and maintain quality documentation. Candidates should have a degree in engineering, experience in NPI, and strong communication skills. Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in NPI, manufacturing quality, or process engineering within related environments.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management from pilot to production.
- Experience with contract manufacturers and global suppliers.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA and CAPA.
- Experience operating within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
Responsibilities
- Manage the transition of new products from development into production.
- Lead New Product Introduction activities including production trials and process validation.
- Collaborate with R&D for Design for Manufacturability and serviceability.
- Establish manufacturing quality documentation.
- Resolve quality issues with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Monitor yield, scrap, and improvements for reliability.
