Job description
Maintenance Plumber

Location: Essex & East London

Salary: Up to £50k - dependent on experience and competencies

Type: Permanent

The Maintenance Plumber will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned plumbing maintenance across residential properties within a residential / commercial property environment. The role involves diagnosing faults, completing repairs to a high standard, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out day-to-day plumbing maintenance and repairs in residential properties/commercial properties
  • Diagnose and rectify plumbing faults including leaks, blockages, system failures and HVAC
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipework, sanitary ware, taps, valves, and drainage systems
  • Work on hot and cold water systems, waste systems, and domestic plumbing installations
  • Complete post-handover snagging and defect works where required
  • Ensure all works comply with current building regulations and health & safety standards
  • Accurately complete job reports, worksheets, and updates via handheld or paper systems
  • Liaise professionally with residents, customer care teams, and site management
  • Identify and report additional works or potential issuesMaintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if provided)
Essential
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber or Plumbing Engineer
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Good communication skills when dealing with residents and colleagues
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
