A prestigious manufacturer in Petersfield is seeking a Nights Maintenance Engineer to maintain production efficiency. The role involves 70% mechanical tasks and 30% electrical work, including PLC troubleshooting. Ideal candidates will have maintenance experience and be keen on continuous improvement. Nights Maintenance Engineer (Highly competitive salary + great shift uplift!)
Location: Petersfield
We are recruiting for 2 Maintenance Engineers to join a prestigious, fast-moving manufacturer in Petersfield. You’ll be working 4 on 4 off, 7pm–7am, nights.
The role:
This position is roughly 70% mechanical and 30% electrical. Typical electrical work includes sensors, motors, drives, solenoid controllers, and basic PLCs. You’ll be responsible for keeping production lines running smoothly, minimising downtime, and driving efficiency.
The team is currently shifting from reactive repairs towards proactive, planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Weekday shifts are mainly breakdown response with some PPMs, while the 48 weekend hours on rota focus on PPMs, projects, and deeper fault investigations.
Each shift has 3–4 engineers, with four shifts covering the 24/7 operation. These vacancies are specifically for the 12-hour night shifts, created due to retirements and departures.
