Job title: INSTALLATION AND MARINE COORDINATOR   Location: London, UK   Contract type: Long-term contract   Language requirements: Proficient in English

Our client, a major energy operator, is looking for an Installation and Marine Coordinator within their CCS department. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all marine activities as required, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This includes managing jack‑up accommodation vessel movements, platform supply vessel movements (where necessary), cable laying and trenching works, diving operations, and load‑out activities. You will oversee offshore structure transportation and installation, offshore personnel transfers, and SIMOPS when applicable. Additionally, you will act as the key interface with other operators’ activities in the area to maintain seamless coordination and operational integrity.

• Ensure safety, performance, and cost‑effective operations.
• Monitor transportation and installation engineering readiness.
• Develop and maintain the Vessel Management Plan.
• Coordinate SIMOPS when required.
• Act as the marine focal point in LBCCS, maintaining a live project vessel activity log.
• Serve as the primary contact point for all project vessels, offshore supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders during offshore operations.
• Maintain continuous communication with project vessels and offshore platforms/jack‑ups.
• Identify the need for surveys and remedial works to support positioning.
• Maintain updated marine documentation (other than self‑produced).
• Manage the auditing of vessels, jack‑ups (marine aspects), and ports where required.
• Participate in HSE activities, HAZID, etc., as required.
• Ensure compliance with navigational safety measures (including exclusion and safety zones, guard vessel deployment and coordination, and COLREGs compliance).
• Support the issuance of Notices to Mariners, Kingfisher Bulletins, and other stakeholder notifications if required.
• Coordinate with the Fisheries Liaison Officer (FLO) to manage vessel interactions with fishing activity.
• Act as the first response coordination point for vessel‑related emergencies (e.g., collision, fire, man overboard, oil spill).
• Initiate emergency communication with HM Coastguard and follow the escalation pathway defined in the Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP) and Emergency Response Plan.
• Document incidents and assist with post‑incident reporting.
• Maintain records of vessel activity, daily activity reports, incidents, and near misses.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Act as the first response coordination point for vessel‑related emergencies, as defined in emergency plans.

• University degree in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline.
• Qualifications in project/construction management.
• Extensive industry experience in marine operations, offshore installation, and diving works.
• Good understanding and experience in managing jack‑up site assessment requirements and associated processes.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning from the oil and gas industry to a low‑carbon future.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English is mandatory; any other language is an advantage).
• Good computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all stakeholders, maintaining good interpersonal relationships; proper understanding of ethics and protocol to be adopted in different functions.
• Availability to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
• Based in London but available to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
