Job description
Overview

The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Sessional Lecturer to teach courses across a range of levels and be a personal tutor on the Health & Social Care courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach within the Health & Social Care curriculum area across a wide range of levels including Level 2 & 3 BTEC’s, T-Level and Level 4 and 5 HNC/D.
  • Deliver courses and personal tutoring on Uniformed Services and Sport courses as required.
  • Design engaging coursework assignments and develop assessment methods to inspire learners.
  • Follow agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures to ensure students meet and exceed target grades.
  • Participate in internal verification activities and organise and take part in external verification.
Qualifications
  • Hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in a Health & Social Care subject.
  • Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one) and possess excellent teaching skills in Health & Social Care programmes.
  • Have relevant and appropriate industry experience in Health & Social Care, with awareness of academic quality standards.
  • Demonstrate recent and relevant continuous professional development.
  • Possess energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, with the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Show creative problem‑solving skills, good planning, preparation, organisation and administrative ability, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
