Job summary

A manufacturing company in Gloucester is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in manual machining, particularly in conventional milling or turning. Position: Manual Machinist

Position: permanent

Salary: £37125 inclusive of shift allowance

Location: Gloucester

Working hours: Position is double days, Mon-Thurs 06:14:00/14:00-22:00 Fri 06:11:30/11:30:17:00

We are now seeking to recruit manual machinist to work for a manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The appropriate manual machinist would have previous experience in conventional milling or turning.

Responsibilities
  • Manual Machining – Milling or Turning
  • Eccentric turning
  • Experienced in working with cylindrical components
  • Understanding engineering drawings and ability to work out angles and dimensions
  • Experience with inspections equipment such as, callipers, micrometres (all types), gauges, DTI’s
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a manual machinist in a precision engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not essential)
  • CNC experience (preferred but not essential)
