Are you a Design Manager looking for a new challenge to assist with wastewater treatment schemes nationwide?

Carrington West is working with a leading international consultancy delivering major design schemes within the water sector from their offices across the country. We are seeking Design Managers from the Water sector with experience managing multi-discipline portfolios with AMP Projects, capable of assisting with design review and submission.

This opportunity is suitable for professionals at Engineer or Director level, where you can add value through key design reviews for Wastewater Treatment Projects on behalf of Water authorities and their AMP projects nationwide. You may also assist with concept and detailed design phases.

Your responsibilities will include working across the full spectrum of engineering design, including feasibility, optioneering, detailed design, outline, and final design, as well as preparing reports, technical specifications, and proposals for water-related non-infrastructure projects for the end client.

Minimum requirements include:

• Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
• Ability to lead small projects and sub-tasks technically.
• Knowledge and experience in designing water treatment works, wastewater treatment works, potable water networks, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and providing technical mentoring to Graduate Engineers and technicians.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Keen understanding of Safety in Design principles and high standards of H&S compliance.

Additional minimum qualifications:

• Chartered or near-chartered status.
• Experience with 3D design tools and proprietary software.
• Project management experience.
• Industry-recognized health and safety qualifications.
• Chartership with a relevant professional institution.
