A leading engineering services firm in Manchester is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprentice to join their team. This full-time, permanent position involves working on technical drawings and supporting live projects within the mechanical engineering department. Candidates should have A-Levels in Maths and a Science or a relevant Foundation degree, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office. Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprentice
Location: Manchester
Contract: Full time - Permanent
Reporting into the UK Head of Mechanical Engineering, you will undertake a wide range of tasks including working on technical drawings, data sheets and schematics, speaking with vendors and suppliers and supporting the mechanical engineering department with tasks to give you a wider understanding of the business and engineering in general.
You will be supporting live projects throughout your time with PM Group.
- A-Levels in Maths and a Science based subject or HND/Foundation Degree in Engineering
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) with proficiency in a technical software package as a plus
- Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a vibrant multi discipline design environment
- Strong work ethic and the ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines
- Flexibility to work both in design office and on construction teams
