A global engineering and consulting group seeks a Design Engineer to work in Bristol (hybrid, 3 days/week). The role involves designing structural aircraft and helicopter components, integrating engineering requirements from conceptual to detailed design. Candidates should have strong experience in composite structures and an aerospace design background. Competitive pay up to £45 per hour, outside IR35, with a focus on sustainable engineering solutions.

Responsabilités
- Design structural aircraft and helicopter components.
- Work on the integration of requirements from multiple engineering disciplines.
- Contribute throughout all phases of the program, from conceptual to detailed design.

A Design Engineer is required to work with a global engineering and consulting group specializing in delivering advanced solutions across aerospace, defense, automotive, and rail industries. With a strong presence in over nine countries and known for its expertise in aircraft interiors, cockpit systems, and mobility technologies, it supports sustainable and high-value engineering programs worldwide.
As a Design Engineer, you will have a shared responsibility in the design of structural aircraft and helicopter components, working in all phases of a programme, starting with the conceptual phase and working on the integration of all requirements and input from other engineering disciplines into the conceptual and detailed design.
- Strong experience designing composite structures (lightweight, high‑strength materials used in aviation).
- Familiarity with tools that help with composite design (CPD/FiberSim).
- Background in aerospace design, especially structural elements.
