A global IT consulting firm in Greater London is seeking a Data Engineer for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will possess strong Microsoft Fabric architecture skills and active SC Security Clearance. This hybrid position requires 2 days on-site and 3 days remote. Responsibilities include technical leadership, team mentoring, and stakeholder management in a vibrant government-focused project environment. Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, especially in Lakehouse architecture and data engineering.
- Active SC Security Clearance is essential.
- Experience in mentoring teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
Responsabilités
- Own and lead Microsoft Fabric architecture and standards.
- Mentor and direct team members in project execution.
- Coordinate with internal and external squads for project delivery.

Data Engineer needed with strong Microsoft Fabric enterprise data platform expertise, and active SC Security Clearance.
Hybrid Working - 3 days / week remote (WFH), and 2 days / week on-site in Central London.
A chance to work with a leading global IT and Digital transformation business specialising in Government projects.
- Technical Leadership : owning Microsoft Fabric architecture including : Lakehouse, OneLake organization, Warehouse patterns, Gold Layer modelling, defining/implementing ingestion + transformation pipelines (Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks), establishing modelling standards for Gold Layer + semantic models, performance optimisation, lineage / observability, governance, RBAC, security, data retention.
- Team Leading / Delivery : setting standards, directing / mentoring the team, reviewing designs, unblocking delivery.
