We are looking for a General Practitioner who delivers safe, practical clinical care, communicates clearly with patients and colleagues, and works well as part of a team while remaining confident in autonomous practice. Continuity, sound clinical judgement and respectful working relationships are important to how we work.

Salary is competitive and will be discussed with suitable candidates. The post is offered on BMA model salaried General Practitioner terms, with annual leave, study leave and NHS Pension eligibility.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide high-quality general practice care to the registered patient population, working independently while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The role involves assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and long‑term conditions through face‑to‑face, telephone and online consultations, in line with local and national guidance. This includes safe prescribing, appropriate referrals, reviewing results and completing associated clinical administration in a timely manner.

The post holder will contribute to the ongoing management of patients with long‑term conditions, support health promotion and preventative care, and maintain clear, accurate clinical records.

The role includes participation in practice meetings, clinical governance activity, audit, significant event reviews and quality improvement work. The post holder will engage fully with appraisal and revalidation requirements and contribute to a professional, respectful working environment.

A clear job plan will be agreed and reviewed regularly to support safe and sustainable working.
