A growing technology firm in Greater London is seeking an experienced VP of Engineering to lead their team. The role involves mentoring engineers, overseeing technical architecture, and ensuring alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience, 3+ years in a leadership role, and a proven track record in delivering impactful products. This is hybrid role, with two days in our London office every week.
We’re looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to take on a key role leading the team working on our mobile, web and desktop products.
Since its launch in 2018, Gener8 has been at the forefront of the “open data” movement: the belief that people should be able to control and be rewarded from their own data. Gener8’s consumer products include IOS and Android apps, a web browser and a browser extension. Our products enable people to transparently share their data with Gener8, whilst preserving their privacy, and to earn rewards in return for doing this.
Today we’re operating in the UK & USA and will be launching in multiple new countries in early 2026.
On the B2B side, the data products that Gener8 creates enables businesses to make faster, smarter decisions. Our customers include some of the world’s largest Big Tech companies, leading ai companies and prominent organisations in finance and ad tech.
We’re growing our engineering team following the commercial success we’ve had this year and to help with that we’re looking for an experienced VP of Engineering. You’ll be reporting to the CTO, helping to guide the strategy, growth and execution of the team.
A few of the things that you could be working on:
On the frontend we’re using React, Next.js and TypeScript. On the backend we use Golang to serve RESTful and gRPC APIs running on Kubernetes. Our mobile apps have been built natively from the ground up using Swift and Kotlin. We use GitHub for version control and CI, Jira for tracking tasks and Slack for sending cat GIFs.
