Job summary
A leading British universal bank is seeking a Financial Crime Lead (First Line of Defence) to oversee the separation of processes as an independent business unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and a proven track record in financial crime risk management, coupled with transformation experience in regulated environments. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for financial crime during the separation, and ensuring compliance for the new unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence significant operational changes.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven experience in financial crime risk management and business transformation within a regulated environment.
- Experience in separation and First Line of Defence functions is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Financial Crime point of contact for the separation.
- Support the design and implementation of a standalone First Line of Defence Financial Crime function.
- Serve as a strategic bridge between existing and future operating models.
- Identify, assess, and document control gaps and operational differences.
