A local government council in Greater London is seeking an Information Cyber Security Analyst to ensure the security of systems and data. Responsibilities include managing security tools, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teams to enhance security practices. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Information Security, relevant certifications, and experience in cyber security roles. Cyber security is at the heart of everything we do at Enfield Council. As an Information Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our systems, data, and services against evolving threats. This is not just about monitoring alerts—it's about being proactive, strategic, and hands‑on in protecting critical infrastructure that supports thousands of residents.
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operational security of council systems, applications, and networks. This includes configuring and managing security tools, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with recognised frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials. You'll work closely with our Operations and Architecture team to embed security best practices across projects and business‑as‑usual activities.
Your role will involve:
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You'll need to balance operational priorities with strategic projects, often under tight deadlines, and occasionally provide out‑of‑hours support to maintain service continuity.
You will be expected to attend the Civic Centre for a minimum of two days per week, subject to business priorities.
