As an Assistant Manager - Group Management Reporting & Business Planning, you'll join our Group FP&A team overseeing transformation efficiency forecasting and reporting. Partnering business units and functional teams to appropriately report and track the financial progress of transformation initiatives and benefits realised. This includes both Opex efficiencies and Capex efficiencies providing input to monthly Exec and board reporting, the annual Group Budget and the annual Group Strategic Business Plan.

This role is based out of our Strand office, and we'd hope to see you at least three days per week but you're welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We're happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

What You’ll Do:
  • Support BU/Functions as they define and deliver their transformation plans.
  • Own global performance reporting of Opex efficiencies and develop insights for executives e.g. progress against targets (FPR and NGED synergy targets), delivery confidence levels, risks and mitigations.
  • Lead on the Group reporting of capex efficiencies.
  • Approve exceptional treatment for Full Potential Review costs to achieve' for Group Functions.
  • Engage collaboratively with the Transformation Office to drive rigour, consistency and insight into BU/Function transformation reporting.
  • Provide analysis to support alignment of transformation objectives to performance management and financial planning processes.
  • Support Group FP&A reporting on efficiencies for half year, year-end, the annual Budget and SBP.
  • Be the contact for Deloitte's assurance over efficiency reporting.
  • Work on other ad hoc projects for the Group Financial Controller and Head of Group Management Reporting & Business Planning.
What You’ll Have:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Prior experience working with Power BI (preferred but not essential)
  • Skills drafting commentary or reporting for use by stakeholders
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence effectively, and manage expectations across all levels of the business.
  • An analytical mindset, enabling you to interpret data, identify trends, and use insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • High competency in Microsoft Excel, including creating complex spreadsheets, using formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience producing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Solid business acumen, with an understanding of key drivers, operational processes, and strategic priorities to contribute effectively to organisational goals.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude-positive, organized, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate needs and take initiative.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow, remaining adaptable, open to feedback, and committed to personal development.

What You’ll Get:

£55,000-£62,000, dependent on experience.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance up to 25% of your eligible earnings and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
