A national charity based in London is seeking a Grants Support Executive to manage individual and organisational grants. This full-time role involves coordinating assessments and engaging with stakeholders to improve the Grants Department's efficiency. The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is the Army’s national charity, supporting soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families, in times of need. The Charity operates a regional structure across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, with its central office in London.
As a key member of the Grants Department, the postholder will directly support the delivery of both the ABF’s individual grants programme, and its grants to other charities and organisations, over £9m pa. This will include consideration of individual benevolence requests, approving within delegation, in direct support of the two Grants Officers, deputising for them when required, and the coordination of the organisational Grants programme assessment and assurance regime.
In addition, the postholder will contribute to the smooth and efficient running and continuous improvement of the Grants Department, with specific responsibilities for information and knowledge management, business continuity and stakeholder engagement.
The starting salary is £36,570. After a probationary period of 6 months the successful candidate will benefit from the Charity’s full range of employment benefits includingan income protection scheme and an employer contribution pension. There will also be opportunities to participate in key Charity events and activities with a TOIL scheme in place.
This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, on a permanent contract based at the Charity’s Office in Victoria, London. (The Charity currently operates a minimum of 2 days in the office).
