This role is focused on engaging people aged 21–35 – graduates and early‑stage career professionals, and connecting them to MDA UK’s mission. You’ll build and support volunteer committees, and work with them to fundraise through events, campaigns, challenges and other creative activities. You’ll be out in the community, meeting new people, inspiring them to get involved, and growing a vibrant new generation of MDA UK supporters.

Key Responsibilities

Committee development and support

  • Identify and establish new volunteer committees for 21–35s
  • Recruit, brief, motivate and support committee members with guidance, tools and plans
  • Provide ongoing contact and encouragement to help committees deliver successful activity
  • Advise on fundraising and engagement, ensuring committees deliver a wide range of initiatives such as social events, gala evenings, sports challenges, digital campaigns, peer‑to‑peer fundraising and new creative ideas
  • Take oversight of the young patronage programme, engaging with existing patrons and encouraging new sign‑ups
  • Support logistics and planning where needed, but also empower committees to take ownership
  • Ensure activities raise funds, build awareness, and deepen engagement with MDA UK
  • Represent MDA UK at community and networking events

Networking and relationship‑building

  • Actively connect with early‑career professionals, student alumni networks and other community groups to bring new supporters to MDA UK
  • Build long‑term relationships with donors, volunteers and supporters in the 21–35 audience

Fundraising outcomes and impact

  • Support committees in setting and meeting fundraising targets
  • Track income, participation and supporter recruitment
  • Share powerful stories of how funds raised directly support lifesaving work in Israel

Collaboration and administration

  • Keep accurate supporter records on CRM systems
  • Support marketing and communications for committee‑led initiatives
  • Work closely with colleagues to align activity with MDA UK’s overall fundraising strategy
Person Specification
  • Experience in fundraising, events, campaigns or community engagement (paid or voluntary)
  • Energetic, outgoing and comfortable meeting and engaging new people
  • Organised and reliable, able to juggle multiple activities and deadlines
  • Strong communicator, confident both one‑to‑one and in groups
  • Motivated by MDA UK’s humanitarian mission
  • Familiarity with Jewish community life or professional networks for people aged 21–35
  • Understanding of different fundraising methods, from events to digital campaigns
