Job description

Are you ready for a role that's truly different? Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust (LCH) provides holistic, collaborative healthcare to Children and Young People in secure environments. We've delivered services at HMYOI Wetherby for over 10 years, offering 24/7 care to young males aged 15-18. We also support Adel Beck and Aldine House Secure Children's Homes, caring for vulnerable individuals aged 10-17.

We're now recruiting a motivated Administrative Assistant to join our Primary Care Team. You'll work across all three sites, supporting clinical and leadership teams in delivering high-quality care to young people with complex needs. Services run Monday to Friday, 08:00‑17:30.

This fast‑paced role suits someone with strong communication and admin skills, confident managing varied tasks and priorities. You'll be involved in service development, small projects, and act as a key contact for internal and external partners. Our admin team works in an open‑plan office, attends handovers, and liaises closely with HMP services.

If you're organised, adaptable, and ready to make a meaningful impact in a unique healthcare setting, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

This dynamic administrative role requires a flexible, outgoing individual with strong multitasking skills and a commitment to confidentiality. Experience in a busy office environment and the ability to work collaboratively within an energetic team are highly desirable. In return, you'll join a friendly and supportive workplace.

You'll need excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a wider team. A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with SystmOne are essential. You should be confident handling data‑producing, analysing, and interpreting it for various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • SystmOne management
  • Task responses and phone handling
  • Hospital referrals
  • Smart card management
  • Report generation and meeting minutes
  • Subject access requests
  • Liaison with HMP services
  • Supporting the Admin Team Lead and Primary Healthcare Team

You'll also manage shared inboxes and act as a central contact for internal and external partners, providing professional, confidential support to senior management and clinical teams.

Adverts will close early when the maximum number of applicants is reached.
