A community organization in the West Midlands is seeking a Community Environment Project Manager to lead projects aimed at improving air quality and sustaining local environments. This role requires proven experience in community engagement, strong project management skills, and effective partnership building. The ideal candidate will coordinate initiatives, secure funding, and engage stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes. WMCA is seeking a Community Environment Project Manager to lead and deliver ambitious programmes that improve air quality, protect natural spaces, build climate resilience, and promote sustainable living.
As part of the Environment Team, you’ll be central to shaping and delivering our community-focused environmental projects. Your work will connect a wide range of stakeholders including local authorities, community networks, environmental organisations, and government agencies, ensuring WMCA’s programmes meet the needs of communities across the region. You’ll work strategically to identify opportunities for innovation, funding, and scale, while leading project delivery with real accountability for outcomes.
You’ll be at the heart of projects that improve local air quality, protect green spaces, and strengthen communities against climate challenges. By bringing together stakeholders, coordinating initiatives, and driving programmes forward, your work will deliver tangible benefits that people can see and feel across the West Midlands.

The location for this role is Summer Lane with at least 2 days a week spent in the office.
