A community support organization in Salisbury, England is seeking a part-time Youth Worker in School to work with at-risk young people. In this role, you will case manage individuals, conduct assessments, and develop engagement plans to support their education and personal growth. The position requires a Certificate IV in Youth Work or equivalent, excellent organizational skills, and a current Working with Children Check. The role also entails travel between locations to ensure effective support delivery.
The Youth Worker in School (YWIS) will be place based at a School and work with a caseload of young people who are deemed ‘at risk’, with the objective of supporting their engagement through school and/or their transition onto further education, training, employment and positive socialisation and active community engagement. The YWIS will develop and deliver programs and activities within the School that support positive development and motivation.
This role will be located at Riverton District High school and will be Part Time 16 hours per week on a Fixed Term contract until 11/12/2026 with the opportunity for increased hours and extension.
Travel will be required between the sites, schools and other service providers. Excellent organisational skills and building and maintaining good relationships are paramount.
