Orkney Islands Council is seeking motivated individuals for the role of Relief Kitchen Assistant to assist with the school meal service across various Orkney schools. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Applicants must have an Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification and be flexible in work location.

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£14.53 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
Applications are invited from motivated individuals to undertake duties as a kitchen assistant, assisting with the school meal service at various schools.
Duties include serving meals, basic food preparation and cooking, operating the till, setting up and clearing down the dining area, washing up and cleaning.
You must hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the service.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
