Job summary

A recruitment agency in the UK is searching for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their production team in Pudsey. The role includes setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision components, interpreting engineering drawings, and maintaining high-quality standards. Competitive salary between £32,000 - £36,500 PA, Monday to Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC machining experience, ideally including Mazak/Mazatrol.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and cutting tools.
• Ability to identify and correct issues during dry runs.
• Confident reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and program CNC machines, including working with Mazatrol controls.
• Perform dry running to validate tool paths and check clearances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out machine setups, tool changes, and in-process inspection.
• Work to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.
