Job summary

A respected engineering company in Lancaster seeks a Machine Operator (CNC/Engineering) to operate various CNC machinery and uphold high quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge and the ability to work independently during night shifts. This role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity with ongoing training and career progression. Shift patterns include 4 on 4 off, with a competitive pay structure including a shift allowance after training.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Strong machining knowledge; CNC experience desirable but training will be provided.
  • Reliable, punctual, and confident working night shifts.

Job description
Machine Operator (CNC/Engineering)

Location: Lancaster

Shift: Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm; Friday 8.30am-4pm whilst training. Once trained you will then move onto 4 on 4 off shift pattern: 7am-7pm.

Pay: £12.21 per hour whilst training. After training you will then receive a 13.5% shift allowance – equalling £13.86 per hour.

Pertemps are recruiting experienced Machine Operators to join the team at a respected and expanding engineering company in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong machining knowledge who are keen to develop their skills with ongoing training, career progression and long-term stability.
