A local authority partner seeks an Out of Hours Support Worker in Cardiff to deliver essential support to vulnerable families during off-hours. This role involves working with children and parents, ensuring safety compliance in emergency placements and maintaining accurate records. Candidates must have relevant experience with vulnerable youth, possess a GCSE or equivalent, and be available for immediate work. This is a temporary position likely to be extended based on client needs.
We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of an Out of Hours Support Worker on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.09- £18.42 per hour
The Intervention Support Worker (Out of Hours) provides critical emergency support to vulnerable children, young people, and families outside of standard office hours. Operating within the Interventions Hub, this role features a dual function: providing family support to enhance parenting capacity and delivering residential support in bespoke emergency placements following the "Right Place" model. The goal is to ensure families receive the right help at the right time, promoting child health and development while adhering to statutory duties.
Education at GCSE or equivalent level. Ability to complete the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care within 6 months of appointment.
