Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Folkestone, Kent

Contract Type: Full-time, long term (Temp to perm possible)

Salary: £80 - £120 a day

Hours: 8:30-15:30 Mon-Fri

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant within the heart of Ashford.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead learning activities for individuals, small groups, or whole classes under the guidance of a qualified teacher.
  • Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Help pupils build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Experience and Requirements
  • HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.
  • Passionate, reflective, quick to learn, and confident in taking initiative.
