About the School

TeacherActive is proud to work with a Welsh Medium Primary School in Barry, looking for a passionate learning support assistant to support children’s learning through the medium of Welsh. The setting focuses on fostering an environment that nurtures children’s minds and provides a fun, engaging space for learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Assist teachers in delivering learning experiences in Welsh.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support and develop your skills from day one.
  • Encourage and promote a positive learning environment for all pupils.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with children across the primary phase (5‑11 yrs).
  • Fluent in Welsh.
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification and/or at least 6 months experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding protocols.
