Job summary
A leading recruitment company is seeking a Finance Assistant in Edinburgh. The role involves assisting with month-end management, preparing financial reports, and supporting the audit process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge. This position offers a salary between £28,000 and £32,000, alongside a generous benefits package including discretionary bonuses and a pension contribution.

- Assisting with month end management and year-end statutory accounts including intercompany transactions
- Including preparation and review of subsidiary monthly management accounts
- Supporting consolidation of Group accounts
- Supporting statutory audit
- Support budget and forecasting processes with specific focus on cashflow forecasting
- Production of financial reports to provide useful information for stakeholders via various systems
- Data uploading of info from one system to another including VAT returns
- Reviewing and processing payroll for a division
- Updating and maintaining departmental processes and procedures
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Wide range of working with various systems to have gained a strong understanding and capability
- Strong competency in excel
- Technical accounting knowledge
- Enthusiastic and self-starter
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good communicator and team worker but also able to work on their own
- Salary ranging from £28,000 to £32,000 per annum.
- Discretionary bonus
- 5% pension contribution.
- 35 days holiday including bank holidays

- Finish at 2 pm on Fridays. (Hours Mon-Thurs 8.30am-4.30pm, Fri 8.30am - 2pm)
