A leading defence and aerospace company in the UK seeks an Electrical Engineer to work on HV and LV networks. This role involves developing project specifications, designing power system studies, and providing technical support at multiple sites. Candidates should hold a minimum of HNC/HND in an electrically biased subject and have experience in Low Voltage electrical engineering. Additionally, a competitive salary and benefits package, including pension schemes and bonuses, will be provided.
You will be working on the HV and LV network in an operational capacity, pursuing Senior Authorised Person status. The role involves developing project scope and specifications for HV and LV Electrical projects, designing and reviewing power system studies, providing independent assessments to the Electrical Design Authority, and supporting cross‑site engineering standards and processes. You will audit designs against legislation, standards and best practice across a range of electrical domains, and provide technical and operational support to sites at Warton and Samlesbury, including potential expansion and redesign of the 6.6kV electrical distribution network.
Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. You must achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard, and many roles require higher levels of National Security Vetting, typically 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role.
