As a Data Analyst apprentice (DAA26) at the BBC, you’ll join a dynamic, collaborative team where you’re learning goes far beyond the basics. You’ll work on meaningful projects that shape the BBC’s future, while developing cutting‑edge skills in areas like machine learning, data visualisation, and ethical data use. With a culture that values growth, creativity, and real‑world impact, you’ll gain both professional confidence and a clear path toward a successful data career.
You’ll work within Sport Growth which sits within the Strategy and Platform teams at BBC Sport. You’ll be part of a team analysing and processing data for content across the BBC Sport website, app, iPlayer, and YouTube—providing insights and identifying opportunities to grow our digital platforms.
You’ll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means you’ll spend at least one day a week studying for a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification from our external learning provider. You will be supported with career development, employability training, and networking opportunities to help you take your next step within the BBC or elsewhere in the industry.

The BBC recognises that some people who are applying for a BBC Apprenticeship Scheme may need to relocate to a new location for the role and this might not be possible due to personal financial constraints.
