Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Technical Architect specializing in integration architecture and API design within the insurance market. This pivotal role involves defining the architecture roadmap and ensuring system connectivity while maintaining data integrity. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in technical architecture and extensive knowledge of the Azure platform. This position offers a hybrid working model in Central London.
Qualifications
- Over 7 years experience in Technical Architecture.
- Experience working in the insurance market is beneficial.
- Extensive experience with API implementations and Event Driven Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Define the blueprints and standards for system connections.
- Help ensure security, scalability, data integrity, and performance.
- Provide technical insight on platform architecture and implementations.

Office Location: Central London
Hybrid Working : 3 days a week in the office.
JNC are working with a leading Insurance client that are looking for an established Technical Architect who specialises in integration architecture, system design and API design within the insurance market.
This role is pivotal to the organisation and will be the key bridge between the clients Underwriting Suite, Data Lakehouse, Analytics Systems and business supporting systems.

- Define the blueprints, standards and outlining how their core systems and applications connect.
- Help ensure security, scalability, data integrity, and performance across the technology landscape.
- Define enterprise wide integration strategy.
- Provide technical insight while working with Change, Technology and Data teams on platform architecture & implementations.
- Technical Design and Governance.
- Translate strategy into a phased and implementable architecture roadmap.
- Experience working in the insurance market is beneficial. Ideally Lloyds London market but general Insurance or financial services is also considered.
- Over 7 years experience in Technical Architecture.
- Extensive experience with architecture focused on software development , integration and technical architecture design.
- Extensive experience with API implementations, Message Queues and Event Driven Architecture. Ideally Azure Service Bus and Kafka.
- Expert skills with RESTful API design and API Gateway management.
- Experience with DevOps principles.
- Experience with CI / CD tools.
- Extensive experience with the Azure platform. Including experience with IaaS, and PaaS.
- Extensive experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure Storage.
