Job DescriptionPrincipal Civil Design Engineer

Location: Southwark, London
Salary: £58k - £65k
Full-Time | Hybrid Working (2 days in the office per week)

An established and trusted civil engineering and transport planning consultancy in London is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team of 10. With a strong presence in the residential market, this is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in an established civils team.

What You'll Do

You will be the technical lead on residential sector projects, ranging from small to large-scale housing developments. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering flood risk advice to support planning applications (FRA preparation)




• Designing strategic highways and drainage infrastructure
  




• Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  




• Utilising Civil 3D, Site 3D, and Causeway Flow
  




• Designing and submitting SuDS schemes for adoption and/or long-term maintenance

What You'll Need

• A degree in Civil Engineering or related field




• Proven experience in the design and delivery of residential infrastructure projects




• Strong skills in Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and Site 3D
  




• Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and work independently




• Experience with flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems
