About the Job: Part Qualified Accountant

We're a leading chartered accountancy firm looking to recruit a part qualified accountant to join our Audit and Accounts team based at our Chelmsford Office. This opportunity would suit an individual who is looking to progress their career while working to deliver a broad range of audit and accounts services to a variety of business clients. The ideal candidate will be part qualified (ACA/ACCA) with at least 2 years of practice experience.

Main Duties:

1. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 102.
2. Preparation of draft corporation tax computations.
3. Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts and VAT returns.
4. Working closely with junior members of staff, helping them develop, mentoring and training them, as well as delegating and reviewing their work.
5. Assisting with the audit process including planning, fieldwork, and completion.
6. Audit makes up around 10% of the workload.
