Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements within five days of the end of the month, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget while conducting forecasts to project financial performance.
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and manage audits to validate financial processes.
• Cash Management: Oversee cash flow and accounts payable/receivable to ensure operational liquidity.
• Financial Analysis and Strategy: Analyse key metrics and trends to drive informed business decisions.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the accounting team, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Collaborate with external accountants to implement tax-saving initiatives and ensure accurate tax filings.
• Cost Control and Expense Management: Monitor and optimize company expenses to maximize profitability.
• Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
• Financial Systems and Process Improvement: Oversee the maintenance of financial software and continuously enhance accounting processes.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent.
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a B2B products‑based business is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience in management accounting, financial planning, or business finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
• An analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
