Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Record, process, and reconcile supplier invoices accurately.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier accounts.
  • Create and issue customer invoices.
  • Manage CIS returns and maintain records.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Carry out daily banking and reconciliations.
  • Oversee general bookkeeping.
  • Provide financial support to the director.
  • Assist with payroll preparation.

Description

The key responsibilities of an Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper will be:

  • Record, process, and reconcile supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier accounts
  • Create and issue customer invoices in line with agreed terms
  • Manage CIS returns and maintain accurate associated records
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements
  • Carry out daily banking and bank reconciliations
  • Oversee general bookkeeping and maintain organised financial records
  • Provide financial support and insight to the company director and site teams
  • Assist with payroll preparation and processing as required
Profile
  • Proven experience in a similar accounts role within the construction sector
  • Comfortable working in an SME business
  • Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts

Job Offer
