Overview
We're seeking a Volunteer Manager to lead the recruitment, coordination, and support of volunteers at The Hub @ Toothill, ensuring they feel motivated, engaged, and valued in bringing our community project to life.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, support, and develop volunteers, acting as the main point of contact for their needs, fostering engagement, and ensuring smooth operations across the project.
- Recruit, onboard, and induct new volunteers.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and maintain clear communication.
- Provide guidance, support, and ongoing development for volunteers.
- Monitor engagement, provide feedback, and foster a positive volunteer experience.
- Act as a point of contact for volunteers and support their needs within the project.
- Ensure activities align with safeguarding and inclusivity principles.

- Ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team of volunteers.
- Confident communicator, approachable and supportive.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusion principles (desirable).
- Drive to develop leadership skills and experience in volunteer management.
- Ideally based near Swindon to support on-site volunteer coordination at The Hub @ Toothill (SN5 8SX).
- Estimated time needed: 1-3 hours / week, 3-7 hours / week, or 7-15 hours / week. Ideally one day a week or two half days, however we are flexible for less or more hours.
