Overview

Kolt Recruitment are looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join an established Accident Repair Centre in Bishops Stortford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in the estimating process, working closely with customers, insurers, and the workshop team to ensure efficient and accurate repair assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately assess and estimate vehicle damage using Audatex (or similar) systems.
  • Produce detailed repair reports and costings for insurers and customers.
  • Liaise with insurers, engineers, and customers to authorise repair work.
  • Work collaboratively with workshop and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and company standards.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a VDA / Estimator within a bodyshop or accident repair environment.
  • ATA VDA Accreditation (desirable, but not essential if experienced).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair methods and estimating systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
