A national healthcare service provider in Kirkcaldy is seeking a Temporary Part Time Medical Receptionist/Clerical Assistant to support their reception team for a contract of 30 hours. We are looking for the right individual to provide extra support to our reception team for the next few months. We want to hear from you, if you:

• Enjoy dealing with members of the public on the telephone and in person, and therefore have excellent communication skills with a pleasant telephone manner.
• Work with the minimum of supervision in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
• Are patient focused and have compassion to communicate sensitively and effectively in challenging situations.
• Have excellent organisation and IT skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, but not essential.
• Are able to work flexible hours, according to the needs of the practice during periods of annual leave.
• Have vision, willingness and drive, to adapt to changes in the NHS.
• Understand the need for confidentiality.
• Are professional in your approach.
• Will be enthusiastic, happy to work independently and thrive on working to high standards.
• Have previous experience of working in a GP practice. Although experience is not essential, it is preferred.
